Fivearts Cities is a partnership launched in 2003 between Five (the television channel) and Arts Council England, designed to bring art to new audiences and encourage as many people as possible to become involved in the arts through specially created events and projects.

The key aim of this research was to gain an understanding of Milton Keynes’ audience engagement with its public art. It sought to do this by: understanding who constitutes the general audience for public art in MK; gauge their level of awareness of public art in MK and understand their perceptions of the role of public art in MK.
