| amh
focuses on people who attend or participate in the arts, or have the
potential to do so. We help organisations base decisions on information
about individual and group needs, attitudes and behaviour, relying
on research data, both qualitative and quantitative.
amh can advise you on the need for research and
on commissioning
research, whether to assist management and marketing decision-making,
for purposes of evaluation, for political or advocacy needs or to
assist in ‘risk reduction’.
When it is appropriate, we can design research to give you the
knowledge you need to make confident decisions. From the range of
different research options, both qualitative (exploring and understanding
both opinions and attitudes) and quantitative (defining how many
people fall within certain categories), we advise on which form
of research is most useful in your present situation.
We always start by focusing on why you want to do the work, to
help you determine clearly defined objectives, and may advise that
primary research is not the best starting place for immediate information
needs. If so, we will help you unpack what would be most beneficial
to your project or organisation- you may need to use a combination
of research methodologies to meet your objectives. You will then
have a research brief tailored to your specific requirements.
